Winter Band Concerts

Well, hello! Guess what? It's snowing right now, & has been doing so since like 3 0'clock. Too bad it hadn't started during the school day--then maybe we would've had a half day. Oh well...well anyway, Wednesday night was my brother's (he's in 7th grade at the middle school I went to) concert, & last night was my concert. Here's the lowdown...My brother's concert was awesome--it was soooo crowded though, & even though my dad & bro'd gotten there to save our seats at like 6:15 (it started at 7), it was stil soooo packed & I couldn't really see 'cuz there were some really tall ppl in front of me--oh well, at least I could hear it pretty well. It was great nonetheless--my bro's in the Jazz Band, & they sounded awesome too; he had a solo, which he did pretty well I think. There were soooo many unfamiliar faces there; I don't know like any of those kids, 'cuz I haven't been there in like 2 1/2 years. Everyone seemed so young...And for my concert: The Jazz Ensemble was first, followed by the Concert Band (freshmen only), & lastly, the Wind Ensemble (my band). The Jazz Ensemble rocked! There are some really talented young musicians; there are several freshmen in that class, & one had a solo--these kids are just awesome, dude! The Concert Band--I have to admit--was better than last year's (our band director said so), & probably better than when I was in it (two years ago). My band sounded awesome; most notes/rhythms/etc. were played correctly, & we were in tune for the most part. My parents said that this year's Wind Ensemble is the best it's been ever--since there are more members this year our overall sound's awesome...I think I've used awesome too many times...well anyways, au revoir! tatta!!
